My role is to provide you with the professional support, guidance and skills necessary to ensure that you and your baby enjoy the full benefits of breastfeeding.
As part of the consultation we will discuss:
- your desired goals
- normal newborn behaviour and meeting your expectations
- importance of skill to skin contact
- learning to understand baby’s cues
- good positioning and attachment
- signs your baby is breastfeeding well
- techniques to support your baby to breastfeed well
- expressing
- aim to resolve any breastfeeding difficulties you may be experiencing
